Travel Plan
 

ARRIVAL & BOARDING

Upon arrival at the La Paz airport(LAP), you will be greeted at the airport and transfer to Marina Palmila (M/V ADVENTURE DOCK) which is located MARINA HOTEL.
This transportation fee is included.
You can check in after 7:00 pm, until this time, you can leave your luggage on the boat and fell free to dinner in town.
If you are already staying in the area, feel free to make your own way to the Marina at
after 7:00 pm.

If you will arrival at Cabo San Lucus Airport (SJD), you are responsible for your own transportation to La Paz. Driving hours will be about 3hours half long way.
Reservation center can make reservation of transportation for you.

DEPARTURE

Check out is at after 4:00 pm on the last day of the charter. (Time should be changed depend on weather and diving conditions)
Guest must stay over one night in La Paz.
Reservation center can make hotel reservation with special price. Please feel free to ask us. If you are extending your stay in the area, M/V ADVENTURE will arrange
transportation for you to a local hotel providing they receive the name of the hotel at least 7 days prior to the charter start.

 

PASSPORTS & DOCUMENTATION

Visitors must have a current passport, adequate funds to support themselves, and a return airline ticket to travel to Mexico. It is the travelers’ responsibility to ensure they have the proper documentation(VISA, Validity passport) to travel into each country on his or her itinerary as well as for re-entry and return to their country.
Please check with the appropriate consulate to ensure you have the proper documentation.

Always check your passport and visa requirements.
A temporary visa is required for Mexico and will be issued upon arrival at the airport by Immigration.
Please do not lose this Visa as you must present it upon departure.

M/V ADVENTURE INCLUDES:
Your chef prepares breakfast, lunch and an elegant meal at dinner with tableside service in addition to fresh mid-morning and afternoon snacks. Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are complimentary while aboard. Fresh towels are placed in each cabin as needed. Tanks, air tanks, weights and weight belts are included.
Transportation from La Paz airport (LAP) to MARINA is also complimentary (one way).

SINGLE TRAVELERS & SINGLE SUPPLEMENT
All rates are quoted on a share basis; therefore you will be roomed with another person of the same gender.
If you would like a private room, the cost is 1& 1/2 times the charter rate and will guarantee you a private stateroom. Available for 2 cabin only each charter (trip).
If you would request widen twin cabin for 2diver, the cost is $300 per person additional.

C-CARDS & INSURANCE
Remember to bring your c-card or proof of certification.
We strongly recommend each guest purchase comprehensive accident, medical, baggage and trip cancellation and interruption insurance when space is reserved.
Trip insurance will protect you from financial disappointment if you are prevented from making your scheduled trip due to illness, family illness

 

FEES & TAXES
There is a $5 per day per person ( 4days diving is $20, 5days diving is $25 …)park fee
is included.

HEALTH
The M/V ADVENTURE has a comprehensive first aid kit onboard, including oxygen. We suggest you bring over-the-counter motion sickness medication or consult your doctor about prescription brands.

BEVERAGES
The adventure’s selection includes fruit juices, soft drinks, iced water, tea, coffee, and
Draft beer, margarita and frozen daiquiri , which are complimentary.
If you prefer particular liquor we suggest you bring your special
Diving do not mix. Once you consume alcohol, you will become a sunbather until the next day.

CLOTHING
Please plan to travel light, as on all liveaboard yachts, space is limited. We recommend you pack your gear in soft luggage such as a duffel bag with wheels for easy stowage and to add to your comfort in your cabin.
Clothing should be lightweight, comfortable sportswear and swimsuits and sunscreen are a must. A light sweater or jacket is ideal for evenings. Dress is always casual and informal. Additional items you may want to bring are a hat and sunglasses. Since the Baja is a desert area, the temperature can drop at night so we recommend you travel with warm light clothing such as long sleeve shirt, for night time.

ENTERTAINMENT
If you have a favorite movie to share, we encourage you to bring it along.

CELEBRATING A SPECIAL OCCASION
Whether it’s your anniversary, birthday, honeymoon, wedding or you are celebrating a 100th dive, please let us know so the crew can celebrate your occasion. Kindly advise the reservation center prior to traveling so the crew is notified in advance.

DIVING CONDITIONS
Most guests make as many as 3-4 dives each day, and last day, makes 2tank and
WHALE SHARK search trip. All the schedule and diving route are depends on
weather conditions. Please note and have ocean mind!
The crew of M/V ADVENTURE with their unique combination of talents offers the ultimate service.

DIVE GEAR SUGGESTIONS
We suggest you pack the following: wetsuit(3-5mm),hood/hooded vest(DECEMBER-APRIL), booties, fins, mask, snorkel, regulator with
visible pressure gauge, depth gauge, dive computer and buoyancy compensator are strongly recommended:
you wish to dive at night, you need own light.

Spare mask if you have prescription lenses, safety sausage, whistle, Dive Alert, mirror and/or other safety devices. Dive computers are mandatory. Each piece of gear should be marked with waterproof paint or tape.

If you need rental equipment, please let us know least 7 days prior to the charter start.

NITROX AND NITROX CERTIFICATION
Nitrox Certification Course: $150
This includes all necessary equipment (tanks, use of oxygen analyzer, use of course materials, instructor, and check out dives). Student may continue to dive Nitrox, using the Student Fill rate, the entire week once they have completed the course. Certification will be from a national certification agency(PADI)

Nitrox Student Fills: $80
This includes all nitrox tank fills beyond the certification level and only available to those who take the course on board.

Nitrox Unlimited: $100*
This includes all Nitrox fills for certified Nitrox Diver, proof of certification required.

PAYMENT ON THE BOAT
The M/V ADVENTURE accepts US dollar CASH and travelers CHECK ONLY

GRATUITIES
Crew gratuities are not included in the charter. We believe gratuities should be voluntary and based upon the quality of service the crew has provided.
Approximate US $100 - $200 per trip per person would be appreciated.

When settling your account at the end of your stay, the Captain will have an envelope for gratuities that will be divided equally among the crew. Payment may be
made by cash or traveler’s check
